Sviva Israel partners schools in the United States and Israel.
Our educational programs enhance students understanding of Israel and Judaism and the environment.
Utilizing Jewish primary sources, innovative media and practical educational tools, we partner schools in Israel and abroad to come together on topics of common concern and interest.
The Eco Connection: Implemented in over 60 schools in Israel the U.S.A and South Africa, Sviva Israel partners schools to learn Jewish environmental primary sources and understand how students can minimize their impact on the environment. The curriculum includes:
- Comparing Ecological Footprints with students in Israel and around the world
- Workshops on Judaism and the Environment
- Israeli Clean-Tech innovations and Alternative Energy
- Eco craft activities
- Video conferences to celebrate Jewish and Israeli holidays TOGETHER with their Partnered Israeli Schools.
Each participating school receives a virtual school building on the Eco Campus virtual School Network which provides parents and children a safe, interactive environment to play educational games and share in a moderated environment resources and experiences with Israeli and Jewish students around the world.
The program is suitable for 4th - 8th grade students in Day Schools and Congregational Schools.

We have participated in the Eco Connection Project for two years. It appeals to our students because it is relevant to their concerns of the environment and because it contains fun technological elements and because they enjoyed the craft elements...they enjoyed blogging, and also enjoyed the Eco Campus interactive portion of the project. For the adults, the project came "in a box" meaning it was user-friendly, and also facilitated our goals of nurturing ties to Israel and Am Yisrael, a goal that has become increasingly difficult to accomplish.
